The Tower of the Baths once stood as a watchtower on a rocky outcrop above the ancient natural springs which was the source of Alhama.
Here near the Baths the Romans built a small settlement and later the Moors reconstructed the bath house, the tower was built on the site of the Roman settlement.
Today only the foundations remain as the tower was destroyed by the troops of Napoleon in 1812.
