I’m Uwe J.W., an artist painter. My inspiration comes mainly from the American PoP Art, photorealism and urban art style. A galerist once told me that there is some sort of « retro moderne » in my paintings, many of which are portraits. I like to experiment on different techniques such as oil and acryl paintings, dessin, collages and combinations of them. The good craftmanship of creating an art work in good quality is important for me. For me, a good art work does not require a long explanation to understand it. It should simply provide a good moment for the people watching them in their homes. Je m’appelle Uwe J.W., artiste peintre. Mon inspiration vient de la pop art americaine, photorealisme et des styles d’urban art. Un galeriste m’a dit une fois qu’il y a des « retro moderne » dans mes tableaux, qui représentent souvent des portraits. J’aime bien expérimenter des techniques différentes comme l’huile ou l’acrylique, du dessin, collages et également des combinaisons de toutes ces techniques. Il est important pour moi de créer une belle œuvre d’art de qualité. A mon avis, une œuvre d’art n’a pas besoin de longues explications pour la comprendre.
