Meet Anita Jain
Since my childhood, I had an inclination towards figurative art and drawings. It was difficult to make a choice on your own at a young age, I had to choose maths as a major subject due to peer pressure and parental guidance. During schooling, I had a tough time hiding my rough figures and drawings on scrapbooks from teachers, but the accolades from the same mischievous-prankish sketches motivated me to hone up my skills further. I get scolded by my teachers for not paying attention in my classes sometimes but the best thing about my schooling is I was always a scholar and loved the subject maths, yes, I am a weirdo because one might not expect math and art together.
Finally, post-graduation in mathematics and picking teaching as a profession to make my life, I started experimenting with sketches and colours. My art skills actually kept me overloaded in school functions and exhibitions besides my regular maths subject at various schools wherever I worked. I observed the very world as it is and gained interest in art and drawing naturally. That is the very reason the feminine models and creatures fascinated me a lot and majorly my best paintings have women in it with emotions of a life within because nature is often referred as mother-nature. As time passed, I practised a lot in my short sketchbook which consisted of facial sketches of different famous characters. I won many competitions in schools and college.
The best thing is that I never learned or took any classes for art, it just came to me as a natural from childhood. As of now I just imagine a figure inside my mind and just paint it on my canvas and let the colours do their magic. Human beings cannot modify the nature of existence but with art I feel there is no limitation on your imagination, and you can paint, write, draw anything on a piece of canvas.
On a random day while residing in Punjab, I came to know about a group of like-minded people who kept interest in art and painting invited me to participate in an exhibition and I got awarded as well and became a permanent member of that artist society with good recognition. Now after moving to UAE with my husband I further explored platforms to exhibit my creation on an international level, luckily, I got positive feedback and got an invitation to join a forum called "ArtforumUAE".
I Have also published my art work in various online vendors that sell and showcase arts from all over the world, such as Saachi Art and Art Evince.
