He participated in the biennials as prestigious as the Venice of 1950 and 1964, Havana in 1954, Alexandria in 1955, São Paulo in 1959 and 1963
He has won the highest awards, culminating in the award of the Gold Medal of the city of Madrid and the Gold Medal of the arts. Since 1973, it is academic of the Academy of fine arts of San Fernando in Madrid.
This represented in the contemporary art museum of Madrid, at the Museum of fine arts of San Fernando, as well as other many Spanish museums (among which are the Museum of fine arts of Asturias or the Museum House - Natal of Jovellanos). In 2003, he was selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the program "Spanish art abroad". That same year he exhibited at the Spanish Institute in New York. His work covers a wide range of themes: landscapes, still lifes, genre paintings and portraits. In 1942 it writes the book "On the school of Vallecas" coinciding with its separation from it.
