This work is part of a cycle of abstract paintings, which were produced in two years. These paintings are born from a study of impressionist painting and in particular of the elite works of Claude Monet and his masterpiece: "Soleil Levant" marking the invention of Impressionism. The work "Sof Ice", is an in-depth study of the work "Soleil levant" and experiments with the use of acrylic paint by pouring water-based paints, until acquiring a similar effect. to that of the mist in the air and the effects of light studied by the impressionists. My research focuses on a contemporary reading of Impressionist works and the choice of a large format and a more abstract painting marks this choice of interpretation in modern key of the masterpiece of Impressionism.
