The work was inspired by looking at a number Picasso's works of women and I have tried to capture and interpret my own style in this painting. The painting is open to the interpretation of the viewer with some clues within the painting as to what it is about. It is based on Eve and the Garden of Eden just after she has taken a bite from the apple from the tree of knowledge and shows the two sides of Eve following that event. I hope that viewers will enjoy looking deeply into the painting again and again. I chose to paint in oil as it gives me the flexibility that I like in painting. Its a work that has taken many hours to complete adding layer after layer of paint. The painting follows another work of mine titled My Mither Lisa a take on the Mona Lisa.
