When young I was fortunate to live in Oxfordshire in southern England where tributaries of the Thames river joined near Oxford. Not only was the region good for fishing but also excellent for an aspiring Artist to study the many species of water fowl whilst peacefully sat on the river bank.
This painting is inspired by my sightings of these most beautiful and graceful birds that I was privileged to see.
The photos you are viewing here of the painting are inferior to viewing the painting in real life,as a photo can never reproduce exactly what you see when viewing something in real life.
